Governor Kundi Demands Justice for May 9 Incidents

 

Faisal Karim Kundi, the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said that those involved in the events on May 9 must be held responsible, and he added that he should be punished first.

Commitment to Responsibilities

After visiting Allama Iqbal’s Mausoleum in Lahore, he told the media about his commitment to the job description. He said we must work collectively as a nation if we want Pakistan to become a developed country.

Resolving Public Issues

While referring to his position as Governor of KP and representative of the Federal Government, Mr Kunddi said he is accountable for solving public problems; therefore, no conspiracy shall find its way into Governor House KP. During a meeting with the prime minister, he apprised him about issues faced by the province.

Response to Threats from the Chief Minister

Regarding threats given by CM KP Amin Gandapur during rallies, he responded by saying that all Pakistan is for all Pakistani and nobody can restrain anybody from entering any province. Initially, Kunddi took a hard line against CM but later offered him dinner, thus signaling the end of their verbal clash.

Invitation to Chief Minister

Kundi reiterated his invitation to Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to visit the Governor House. He clarified that he harbors no personal enmity towards Gandapur and is aware of the constraints he faces.

Visit of Bilawal Bhutto

Kundi revealed that Bilawal Bhutto, the Executive of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), will soon visit Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He chastened PTI individuals for their pietism and said that they take things and hotshot.

Justice for May 9 Incidents

Reiterating his stance, Kundi insisted that the culprits of the May 9 incidents must be brought to justice. With the mastermind facing punishment first. He remarked on PTI’s inclination to negotiate with the establishment. Stating that if they wish to engage with politicians instead, they are ready for dialogue.
