Chief of Naval Staff Naveed Ashraf’s Visit to Qatar

 

Islamabad (Monitoring Desk)—Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf had an official trip to Qatar, where he met with the Qatari Naval Forces, said ISPR. The main focus of these meetings was to increase bilateral naval cooperation between the two countries and discuss regional maritime security.

Admiral Naveed Ashraf had important meetings with the Qatari Emiri Naval Forces commander. They discussed different areas of the defense relationship, including shared interests and an emphasis on bilateral naval cooperation. It has contributed significantly to maintaining secure seas for all users, particularly in the Arabian Sea.

The host nation appreciated PN’s contributions to ensuring safe waters around the globe, especially regionally. It expressed gratitude for efforts rendered so far in addressing this vital aspect and thanked them for establishing an environment conducive to sustainable economic development within the Indian Ocean Region (IOR).

Strengthening Defence Relations

ISPR stated that the visit will likely enhance defense ties between both countries’ armed forces, especially navies. This visit would help deepen mutual understanding of security-related matters, thereby paving the way toward enhanced security operations in the future.
