Punjab’s Information Minister, Uzma Bukhari, has raised eyebrows regarding the suppression of critical articles authored by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) founder and former Prime Minister, Imran Khan, in international publications. Bukhari has labeled PTI’s founder as a provocateur and hinted at the existence of another hidden agenda akin to the events of May 9.
During a press conference held in Lahore, Bukhari expressed skepticism about the continuous targeting of the military and the chief justice, suggesting a deliberate attempt to instigate discord among the youth. He advocated for the establishment of a commission to scrutinize PTI’s intentions and activities, particularly their alleged anti-state endeavors.
Bukhari: PTI Founder Disruptive, Warns of Another May 9 Scheme
Bukhari adamantly claimed that PTI’s founder remains a disruptive force in politics and warned that the entire revolutionary momentum would collapse should he be ousted. He further alleged that PTI is orchestrating yet another scheme reminiscent of the events of May 9.
Directly addressing Imran Khan, Bukhari accused him of deliberately sowing chaos within the country. He implored the public to discern PTI’s subversive machinations against the nation, recalling the erstwhile public support that PTI once enjoyed.
Bukhari also drew attention to the noteworthy reduction in petrol prices by Rs 20 to Rs 21 per liter this month, along with substantial decreases in the prices of essential commodities such as flour. He cited reductions in the prices of onions, tomatoes, and other vegetables as further evidence of positive economic developments.
Additionally, Bukhari highlighted a decline in the price of bread and commended the tireless efforts of the Punjab Chief Minister in ensuring that relief measures reach the populace promptly and consistently.
Bukhari’s remarks underscore a growing unease regarding the dissemination of critical perspectives on PTI’s leadership and policies. He emphasizes the need for transparency and accountability in political discourse while also acknowledging positive economic indicators such as reduced commodity prices under the current administration.
