State leader Shehbaz Sharif’s has said that the country’s monetary development is subject to commodities and will do all possible to support them. He will divulge a significant drive in such a manner inside the space of days as a feature of his more extensive monetary vision for the country. The strategy aims to improve external trade and maintain a steady stream of local and foreign investments, which is crucial for sustainable economic development.
Strategic Approach towards Economic Development
Terming it as well-meaning, Prime Minister Sharif said that present policies have been designed with an enabling environment for growth creation in view. “If we continue like this, then nobody can stop Pakistan from making progress,” he maintained while adding, however, that politicizing the economy has always impacted negatively on Pakistan’s fortunes. “Unfortunately, politics has often impeded our economic development; there should be no room left for politics concerning economy — strong economy means strong Pakistan,” he said.
During an exclusive interview, the Head of Government told Dunya News that his government rescued the economy from a dangerous zone and put it on track for recovery. “We’ll take people out of poverty through wealth creation,” he promised, saying the benefits of revival would soon trickle down to commoners, thereby heralding a new era of prosperity.
Importance Of Foreign Investment
He reiterated that without exports and foreign direct investments (FDIs), there could be no sustainable growth or development. “Foreign investment is a key element of our economic strategy; therefore, we have taken a holistic approach to its implementation by forming robust federal-provincial partnerships,” said Mr . Sharif, who was confident positive results would become apparent as soon as possible.
At the same time, however, he sought public understanding about the phased nature of these reforms, saying they were meant not to burden people already suffering from the COVID-19 pandemic. Our plans are based on advice from international experts and stakeholders; thus, they represent a workable roadmap that, when followed, shall lead us on a recovery path quicker than expected,” added the Prime Minister.
Expanding Tax Net Without Increasing Taxes
Expanding the tax base without raising more levies is another essential part of this economic plan, according to PM Sharif, who highlighted efforts to ensure export-oriented industries get access to global markets and requisite facilities. “We want to enlarge fiscal space but not through the imposition of additional duties on already overburdened masses; instead, we’ll do so by broadening the scope for taxation,” he explained.
He further stated that the government’s current focus is only on stabilizing the economy and ensuring it grows sustainably. “When I hear those responsible for ruining our country’s finances now criticizing PML-N government’s record in office, then one thing becomes clear — they don’t care about people or prosperity,” concluded the Premier.
Energy industry accomplishments
While the government has boosted power generation and eliminated load shedding to solve the current energy crisis in the country, Prime Minister Imran Khan says he did not take these steps because of his love for politics or desire to be popular among voters. “We increased our electricity production capacity by removing blackouts and lower[ing] prices where possible as well,” he stated on Friday night during a speech at Jinnah Convention Centre Islamabad. He added, “Such initiatives reflect our commitment towards people’s welfare.”
A Vision for Pakistan’s Prosperity
He emphasized that his government seeks stability, not discord or baseless accusations, in response to critics questioning its ability to achieve anything amidst numerous adversaries. He specifically addressed PTI Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s scathing remarks earlier this week, where Zardari labeled them as incompetent fools focused only on enriching themselves through corruption while neglecting crucial needs like healthcare reforms that could save lives daily in Punjab alone. In response, Sharif said: “We believe politics should serve rather than divide; we want an economy stable enough that every citizen becomes prosperous.”
He believes that two things are essential for political success: sincerity and a well-defined action plan that spans at least five years, allowing people to see tangible results over time.
Sharif appeared unfazed by criticism from opposition parties that threatened to prevent him from completing another term as prime minister by pushing for early elections (which they believe would likely result in their victory due to current dissatisfaction).
The Significance of Arshad Nadeem’s Achievements
Looking back on his recent accomplishments, including a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics and setting new national records for javelin throw distance during these games too – which is also Pakistan’s first ever in this particular category – Imran Khan expressed hope that Arshad Nadeem’s success would inspire other young people into similar pursuits.
The Premier went beyond praising athletes like Mr. Nadeem. Speaking yesterday morning, surrounded by children orphaned due to violence along the Afghan border, he addressed the loss of their parents during an attack by Taliban militants on Pakistani security forces stationed at the border dividing the two countries
International Challenges Faced Today
As we approach Independence Day celebrations next week, followed closely by Global Solidarity Month for the Palestinian people, President Sharif lamented the international community’s silence over what he described as Israeli aggression. He criticized the world for remaining quiet as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) continued their relentless bombardment of civilian areas, predominantly Muslim, in densely populated regions like the Gaza Strip.
