PML-N’s Agricultural Development Initiatives

 

PML-N’s government members of the assembly applauded the Chief Minister for his efforts to combat shortages in essentials such as bread and other food items. During discussions with assembly members, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of maintaining close communication with the general public and assured them that food prices would further decrease.They are establishing separate systems for price control and other related matters.

Initiatives for Agricultural Development

When the PML-N government comes to power, prices decrease. Some people used to say they didn’t come into power for potatoes and onions. They are launching a major farmer card project for Punjab’s farmers. They proposed reducing import duties on agricultural machinery and tractors. Recommendations for loans to build houses on plots of two to four marlas are under consideration. They plan to provide houses for homeless people and are considering allocating plots in villages. Hybrid buses are being introduced in cities, and motorcycles will be provided to young people.

International Engagements for Economic Development

They stated that Nawaz Sharif and other countries, including China, are in talks for IT cities. Among those present at the meeting were Hina Parvez Butt, Marghoob Ahmed, Kashif Padhiar, Muhammad Hassan Riaz, Naeem Safdar Ansari, Ghazali Saleem Butt, Zahid Akram, Tariq Sabhani, Muhammad Salman Naeem, Qasim Nadeem, former MPA Chaudhry Shahbaz, and Bilal Zulfiqar Ali Khokhar. In addition, a special session chaired by the Chief Minister was held to assess the current situation of the availability of fertilizer and the need for registration in the farmer card program.

Measures to Ensure Availability of Agricultural Inputs

In the session, it was emphasized that a full-proof mechanism should be adopted to ensure the availability of fertilizer for farmers and that digital supply monitoring should be effective from plant to dealer. Maryam Nawaz ordered strict and effective measures to prevent hoarding and illegal transportation, ensure effective storage, and prevent smuggling. They also held discussions on recommendations for adjustments in the prices of pesticides and fertilizers.

The Chief Minister assured farmers in Punjab that they would ensure the supply of fertilizer at all costs. There is no room for compromise in ensuring the stockpiling of fertilizers and preventing smuggling.
