Lease Under PPRA Rules NHA
NHA’s Executive Board approved this contracting agreement, clause 42(f) of the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) rules. According to these regulations, a government-owned company will take over management, maintenance. And operational control on a lease basis for N-75 Islamabad-Murree Expressway. This move aims to ensure that this crucial transport route operates efficiently and effectively.
Duties Imposed On Government-Owned Company NHA
Under the contract terms, the selected government-owned companies will manage operational control and maintain the Islamabad-Murree Expressway for five years. It should perform all necessary repairs, carry out routine care, and upgrade infrastructures, which are essential under this lease agreement. The expressway is expected to be kept safe. And reliable by ensuring its continuous use by different people. Such as daily commuters who travel from their homes in Islamabad suburbs towards offices in the downtown area. At the same time, Murree also receives many visitors every year, being one popular hill station.
Objectives Of the Leasing Agreement

Over the next five years, while the lease is in effect, NHA will monitor the performance of the government-owned company to ensure it meets set standards and expectations.
