London Protests Against Israel’s 11-Month Attacks on Palestine

Protesters in the UK held a huge demonstration against Israel’s ongoing hostile actions in the Gaza Strip, which have now continued for eleven months. Politically active Londoners flocked to the streets, chanting and stomping demands for an end to hostilities, which made the lives of many Palestinians unbearable. An end to the indiscriminate violence in Gaza, as the protest called it, is becoming a universal call and increasingly draws support worldwide.

Protests in London Against Israeli Aggression

According to reports, the rally in London witnessed crowds who stepped into the streets marching in support of the emotions of the Palestinian society. They waved flags of Palestine, where victims of Israeli oppression live, and condemned acts of the Israeli army. They further appealed to the government of the United Kingdom to cut off the provision of arms to Israel, citing that there was a need to cut all military backing that supports active conflict.

A major demand of the protest was the cessation of attacks on Gaza, with an appeal to the international community to intervene and stop the violence. The main purpose of the speech was to health the diffusion of Mississippi Rising and First Aid Society towards innocent Palestinians caught in wish to worship holy places though want to avoid colonizers’ murderous Isaiah. This demonstration was more than a mere call out in support of Palestine but rather a strong plea to the world’s leaders to act upon the said call.

Protests of Solidarity in Sweden

The demonstrations in London were not the only ones, as a similar demonstration took place in Stockholm, Sweden. They refrained from violence too, and instead, joined the chorus for Israel to stop its war crimes in Gaza. The participants offered that the violent activities must cease at once or else the international community should step forward to put a stop to the aggression and take appropriate measures toward Israel.

The demonstrations in Sweden, too, very much Laconic Britain, have been characterized by people carrying Palestinian flags and banners calling for peace and justice. The indignation against the humanitarian crisis created by the actions in Gaza grows and commands the attention of the masses in different parts of the globe.

Gaza’s Humanitarian Crisis

Since Israel launched its air campaigns in October last year, Gaza has experienced the highest number of atrocities in its history. More than forty-one thousand Palestinians lost their lives as a result of the violent conflict, while over one hundred thousand sustained injuries.

The constant bombarding and military operations have been even harsher, displacing more than ninety percent of the Gazan population, leaving them homeless and deprived of all their basic needs. Conditions in Gaza are miserable and most people are unable to escape the brutality of poverty, trying to make ends meet in the backdrop of constant airstrikes. Meanwhile, London, Stockholm, and other start-ups demonstrate that the world cannot simply look on when so many people are suffering.

The protests in the UK and Sweden are an indication of the widespread anger directed at Israel over its military operations in Gaza. As an inhuman situation unfolds, there is increasing clamor for the heads of states to act and restore normalcy. The global campaign in support of Palestinians is expanding appealing for justice and peace.
