Journalist Nasrullah Gadani Dies After Attack in Sindh

 

A journalist named Nasrullah Gadani, who was wounded three days ago in a shooting by unknown attackers in Mirpur Mathelo tehsil of Ghotki district in Sindh province, has died during treatment in Karachi. The fatal event has shaken the local and national media community and sparked protests along with calls for justice.

Someone shot Nasrullah Gadani while he was passing through. Mirpur Mathelo — a locality known for its vibrant community but also sometimes insecure environment. Reacting strongly to journalist Nasrullah Gadani’s murder. Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah expressed his deep grief over the sad demise. He said he is as shocked as everyone else in the province and added that their hearts go out to the bereaved family members. He promised the fullest support from the government until the law punishes those behind such heinous crimes.

Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon and PPP Spokesperson Shazia Marri commiserated with the family of the late journalist Nasrullah Gadani and the journalists’ community over this tragic incident. They emphasized the risks that media persons face nowadays and urged concerned authorities to take effective measures to ensure. The safety of journalists, particularly those working in hostile environments and remote areas where enemies surround them.
