Ishaq Dar Key Diplomatic Visit to Bishkek

 

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, Ishaq Dar, has reached Bishkek. He visited Shahzaib, a Pakistani textile worker injured in a mob attack, at National Hospital Bishkek. Shahzaib expressed his wish to go back to Pakistan. At the special request of the Deputy Prime Minister, Kyrgyz authorities decided to release him and allow him to return for further treatment. He has been arranged to travel with the Deputy Prime Minister on a special flight back home.

Diplomatic Engagements and Advocacy

Besalov Adil – Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, met with Ishaq Dar during his visit. The parties discussed living conditions for Pakistani textile workers who reside within the Republic’s territory. The head of state says they are ready to promptly resolve visa problems connected with them and formalize their permanent residence status in KR.

Participation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO)

Before he arrived in Bishkek, Ishaq Dar attended the Council of Foreign Ministers’ meeting at Astana of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). In this meeting, he urged SCO member states to condemn Israeli atrocities against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip while emphasizing that only a state solution based on pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine can bring lasting peace between both nations. He then went on to add that the recent untimely deaths of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi & foreign Minister Javad Zarif were sad events that Pakistani people mourned but hoped new leadership would continue fostering good relations.

Meetings held in Kazakhstan & Tajikistan

Apart from engagements taking place within the Kyrgyzstan region, Senator Ishaq Dar also had an audience with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kazakhstan, @ presidential palace Akorda where they talked about expanding cooperation across various sectors Further, he met Sirajuddin Tajikistan FM. Both sides underscored the need for mutually beneficial relationships & regional harmony between Pakistan and Tajikistan while calling upon early implementation of the CASA-1000 Project, among other connectivity ventures designed to enhance trade ties within the region.

These interactions depict extensive diplomatic endeavors by Pakistan towards engaging its citizens abroad and as promoting closer ties with neighboring states.
