Balochistan Tragic Accident: Women and Children Dead


According to initial information, the tragic accident occurred due to high speed and a burst tire. Among the deceased were women and children. The injured and the deceased were transferred to the Civil Hospital in Basima. After providing medical aid. The injured will be moved to Quetta for further treatment.

Severity of the Injuries Balochistan Tragic Accident

Levies officials stated that 22 people were injured in the accident, with many in critical condition. Raising concerns about a possible increase in the death toll. Assistant Commissioner of Basima, Ismail Mengal, mentioned that the passenger coach had departed from Turbat at night, and the accident occurred around 4 AM.

Delay in Reporting the Balochistan Tragic Accident

He added that due to the lack of a mobile network and nearby settlements at the accident site, the Levies control was informed of a delay. Subsequently, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti ordered the airlifting of the injured to Quetta for medical assistance. Following this directive, the Balochistan government helicopter was dispatched to Panjgur to transport the wounded.

Emergency Response

In his statement, the Chief Minister directed that the critically injured be transferred to Quetta for better and immediate treatment. Deputy Commissioner of Panjgur, Zakir Ali, stated that as per the Chief Minister’s directive. Ten critically injured individuals would soon be transferred to Quetta.

Government Assistance and Military Involvement

The government later said that nine critically wounded persons were shifted to CMH Quetta through a Pakistan Army helicopter for medical treatment. At the same time, 13 bodies were taken to Quetta by an aircraft of the Balochistan government.


Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed a profound sense of distress and pain over the loss of valuable lives in a grievous street mishap in the Washuk region of Balochistan. As indicated by the Application report, he appealed to God for the withdrawn spirits and extended his sympathies to the deprived families.

He also said that the whole nation is standing with affected families in this hour of grief. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed deep sorrow and regret over the loss of lives. He expressed his profound grief over the tragic accident and sympathized with bereaved families.

Government’s Commitment to Provide Aid

Meanwhile, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti expressed his condolences over the bus accident, saying depth grief for the huge loss of lives. He underscored standing alongside families of dead people. The Chief Minister also directed for the provision of enhanced medical facilities to injured ones while praying for their early recovery.
