Ali Muhammad Khan demand: Benazir Bhutto’s Murder Probe

To look into Benazir Bhutto’s murder, Ali Muhammad Khan has called for the establishment of a judicial commission. He made this statement while delivering his speech at the National Assembly. As a senior leader and member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Mr. Ali also insisted on setting up a court-led investigation body to probe the assassination.

According to him, every government breaks its word after taking over power. According to him, every government breaks its word after taking over power.

Ali Muhammad Khan drew a historical parallel with June 16, 1948, when he said Pakistan’s founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, had allegedly warned military officers that it is not their job to make policies. He questioned why Liaquat Ali Khan was chosen despite having popular backing and demanded that those truly responsible for Benazir Bhutto’s killing be revealed to the nation.

PTI Calls for Judicial Commission Review

His call for holding a judicial commission reflects PTI’s belief in scrutinizing any big national issue through a transparent legal process. In this regard, Ali Muhammad Khan’s statement also raises questions about governance and the role played by various state organs in Pakistani politics.

The matter of the Benazir Bhutto murder case remains unresolved and sensitive in the country’s history, which leads to intermittent demands for re-investigating her assassination to bring culprits to justice. Therefore, what Ali Mohammed Khan roared at the National Assembly mirrors broader PTI concerns about governance failures and a lack of accountability mechanisms within our system coupled with distortionist tendencies regarding critical events in the political pasts of Pakistan.

As PTI continues to assert its agenda in parliament, debates over accountability, governance effectiveness, and historical justice will likely remain central to its legislative engagements. Ali Muhammad Khan’s call for a judicial inquiry into Benazir Bhutto’s assassination underscores ongoing efforts within PTI to address unresolved questions and seek closure on critical national issues through institutional channels.
