Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur has made headlines with his staunch refusal to impose similar taxes inside the province. During a charged speech at a public rally in Swat, Gandapur issued strong warnings to those advocating for brand-new taxes. He asserted that they could no longer tolerate such proposals and that proponents would face perilous consequences.
Gandapur’s address was marked by emotional support for the PTI and its founder. He proclaimed that the party would respond with unparalleled vigor if the PTI leader called for mobilization. “When the founder of PTI calls for action, we will show our strength,” he declared. He warned those he described as “imposing control and stealing mandates” that they would have no place to hide in Pakistan. Gandapur emphasized the determination of his supporters to claim their rights and resist coercion, stating, “We know how to seize and claim our rights, and no amount of pressure can alter our people’s loyalties.”
The Chief Minister’s speech took a more menacing turn when he explicitly threatened those discussing new taxes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. “We will not allow any more taxes to be imposed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. he declared, adding a stark warning: If you come on your feet. You will leave on our shoulders.”
Governance and Legal Persecution
Ali Amin Gandapur also addressed broader governance issues, highlighting that the constitution, not individuals, governs the country. He criticized what he described as the persecution of their leader through fabricated legal cases. He pledged to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that the government would address and resolve their concerns.
In his speech, the Chief Minister strongly condemned illegal activities and corruption within the province. He vowed severe punishments for those who engage in illicit deforestation and bribery, saying. “Anyone who illegally cuts down forests in KP will have their hands cut off. The government will not spare those who take bribes; they will break their hands.
Gandapur also promised to enhance public services and provide comprehensive facilities beyond infrastructure. He committed to improving education and healthcare and supporting athletes with necessary amenities. He assured that the government will address all public issues.
On a related note, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar emphasized the necessity of constitutional and legal adherence to the country’s governance. He expressed optimism that the PTI founder would reunite with his supporters soon. Suggesting that the current challenges faced by the party are temporary.
Gandapur’s speech underscored a blend of defiance against new taxes. A strong commitment to PTI’s principles and an unwavering stance against corruption and illegal activities. His promises to improve public services and his emphasis on constitutional governance reflect the broader agenda of the PTI as it navigates through its political challenges.
