Israeli Army troops have stormed the Palestinian city of Jenin in the occupied West Bank in what is the most significant escalation yet to hostilities between the feuding countries. It led to the large-scale destruction of properties in the area, leaving a lot of humanitarian problems for the Palestinians there.

There were reports from the Arab media that an Israeli military encirclement of Jenin was progressing at night. Buldozes have also been used to heavily breach the wall of Jenin; thus, the areas of military attack have been extended.
