Maryam Nawaz Awards Top Students and Supports Workers

The Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz.Showered praise. And rewards from the Lahore Board’s matriculation checks on the pinnacle role holders. Inviting the top-appearing students to the Chief Minister’s workplace. Maryam Nawaz engaged with them, demonstrating her dedication to schooling and children’s development.

Maryam Nawaz took a moment to sit among the students during the ceremony. Highlighting her genuine interest in their achievements. She announced that the government would cover all educational expenses for these high achievers. Ensuring their continued success without financial burden. One student, moved to tears while sharing her family’s economic struggles, expressed relief and gratitude for the support. Noting that previous promises had not been fulfilled until now.

Awards and Scholarships Maryam Nawaz 

In the popularity of their superb achievements. The Chief Minister presented trophies, certificates of appreciation, and cash prizes to the scholars. First role holders acquired checks for PKR three hundred,000 every, 2d function holders PKR two hundred,000 each. And 0.33 function holders PKR a hundred,000 every. Maryam Nawaz expressed pride in sitting with these brilliant students and admired their capabilities and potential.

Commitment to Worker Welfare Maryam Nawaz 

In a separate session presided over by the Chief Minister, significant decisions were made regarding the welfare of workers. Maryam Nawaz announced that 1,224 flats would be provided free of cost to workers in Taxila and Sundar labor colonies. Additionally, she ordered the disbursement of PKR 6 billion for death and marriage grants, which had been neglected in the previous administration, affecting 29,000 workers.

Support for Female Workers

Approval was given for constructing two hostels for female workers in Garment City, and 704 female workers in Sheikhupura would receive free housing. Maryam Nawaz emphasized the importance of worker rights, including scholarships, better healthcare, and reforms in the labor department. She also stressed the need for safety measures for sanitation workers.

Meeting with Sir Michael Barber

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also held a video conference with British education expert Sir Michael Barber to discuss improvements in education, health, air quality, solid waste management, and revenue mobilization. Sir Michael praised the Punjab government’s efforts in educational reforms. CM spoke about the CM Vision 2030, aiming to incorporate critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and digital literacy into the curriculum.

Discussions on Technical Education

Provincial Assembly Member Adnan Afzal Chatha also met with the Chief Minister to discuss modernizing TEVTA (Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority) and enhancing public welfare projects. Maryam Nawaz revealed plans to increase the number of students in TEVTA courses from 4,000 to 40,000, focusing on equipping the youth with IT and digital skills and empowering them economically to support their families.

Through these initiatives, CM demonstrates a solid commitment to educational excellence and worker welfare, aiming for a more skilled and prosperous Punjab.
