Uzma Bukhari Rejects May 9 Judicial Commission

THE PUNJAB Government Minister of Information Uzma Bukhari has said there is no need to create a judicial commission to investigate the events of May 9th. She declared that all the matters concerning these incidents were crystal clear. And the Peshawar High Court had already ruled against forming a judicial commission because it was illegal. In her opinion, PTI should not use the judicial commission to get relief.

Background on Events of May 9th Uzma Bukhari

According to her, the events of May 9 did not occur spontaneously; Imran Khan held rallies, long marches, and inciting speeches in the preceding days to that incident. These activities contributed to the chaos and mayhem that happened on this day.

However, forensic tests have revealed that she was murdered. The case worries Bukhari as it is an acid test for the judiciary. She pleaded with courts to ensure the culprits of Sania Zahra’s murder face justice.

Commenting on KP Chief Minister and Jamaat-e-Islami:

She also criticized Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s chief minister, saying he was only interested in pleasing his bosses without caring about the people he serves. When asked about Jamaat-e-Islami. She disclosed that despite the numberless protests and sit-ins conducted by the party. They didn’t get as many votes as they wanted. Karachi’s Jamaat-e-Islami leader became popular due to this factor alone.

Demand for Justice:

Hina Pervaiz Butt, Chairperson Social Protection Authority. Supported Bukhari’s demand for justice in the Sania Zahra case too. Which, according to her, concluded by forensic evidence proving murder for sure without being affected by any type of pressure or fear from anywhere under any circumstances at all while pursuing justice. Which must be achieved without any doubts. Butt urged the courts to punish those responsible for Sania Zahra’s death as a signal of seriousness in addressing this matter.
