In a tragic turn of events, a horrific collision occurred near Adda Muhammad Wala, close to Chok Sarwar Shaheed, involving a high-speed van originating from Multan. This collision resulted in the loss of lives of eleven members of a single family, including Saima, Zeba, Muhammad Islam, Saifullah, Shahbaz, Dilbar Hussain, Sajjad, Namal, Umair, Hanifa, and Hanifan. At the same time, Ali Haider, Sameer Ahmed, Jabran, Anisa, Shafiq, Razia, Fahad, Sehar Shafiq, Shameem Akhtar, Razia, Binish Islam, and Warisha Batool sustained injuries. They rushed the deceased and injured to THQ Hospital Chok Sarwar Shaheed due to the limited availability of ambulances from Rescue 1122. The collision was attributed to road construction and loose gravel on the road.
Thatta Incident:
On the Hyderabad Road in Thatta, a traffic accident claimed the lives of seven individuals and left five injured. Residents of Mank Baharani, a village near Jhirk, were commuting on a pickup for labor work in Kotri Industrial Estate when their vehicle collided with a trailer coming from the opposite direction near Hameed Farm.
Ghelani Incident:
Coming back from dropping off Hajj passengers at the airport, a family from Ghelani village near Chuniyan became victims of a fatal accident as their car overturned as a result of a burst tire. This incident killed two people and injured four others, including Imran, 23, and Abdul Ghani, 45.
The injured comprised Afaq, 15; Rizwan, 22; Faizan, 24; and Zeen, ten years old. Famous businessman Mian Liaqat Rahmani owned the vehicle, and his close aide Saif Rahmani was driving it.
Ramdha Kashan Incident:
In another tragic event, Hanzala Meo, aged 22, lost his life near Kott Radhakishan when his car coming from Raiwind hit a tractor trolley parked on the roadside due to overspeeding near Zafar’s Petrol Pump.
These incidents highlight the pressing need for better safety measures on roads and stricter traffic rules implementation to avoid more deaths and injuries.
