As the summer vacations approach, it is the time of the year when tech companies want to impress their consumers with new smartphone models. This line-up includes the latest flagship phones from Apple iPhone 16, Google Pixel 9, and something new from Samsung with its Z Flip6 and Z Fold6 foldables. Huawei has joined the foldables race with its Mate XT with a unique design that folds in thirds. With the worldwide sales of smartphones coming to a stagnation, companies are willing to go above and beyond than ever in an attempt to make people get new devices for netxpro upgrades.
A Lot of Bright and Cheery Promises Plus Some AI Stuff SummerÂ
Tim Cook – Apple’s CEO has great ambitious plans for the iPhone 16 – it will be able to change everything that people know about smart devices. Google executives do not hesitate to characterize the Pixel 9 with the words ‘gorgeous’, although its shape is a little on the shy side. Huawei launched a theme song for the brand, believing that technology can help people achieve their dreams.
Both Apple and Google are phenomenally showing off their artificial intelligence (AI) features. For instance, Google’s Magic Editor lets users edit pictures by adding or removing contents, whereas Apple has put Open AI’s technology into Siri to make her more useful. But does such power to do anything with AI really touch the ordinary user’s heart?
Consumer Preferences and Market Shifts
Ben Wood, a mobile phone expert for CCS insight says that am sure AI will excite some people but most of them will be more interested in the camera quality of the phone. Improvements in the camera have been brought out with every other new release, but even that is not enough to move sales further. In fact, phone users have started to use their devices for longer periods before changing it and sales have fallen from 30 million in 2013 to 13.5 million in recent years.
The cost-of-living crisis and growing environmental concerns are also helping this tendency. Every smartphone consists of almost all elements which are rare therefore consumers consider such impacts to the environment.
