The Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif, has restated the government’s commitment to ensuring that all people receive the latest healthcare as a right. While addressing the ceremony of marking the foundation stone for Jinnah Medical Complex, he asserted access to health care and education as fundamental rights of every citizen without any hindrance or obstacle. According to him, suitable treatments are available worldwide for wealthy people, but not even basic medical facilities can be reached by commoners.
Jinnah Medical Complex: A Milestone in Healthcare
Jinnah Medical Complex is an upcoming state-of-the-art health facility that it hopes will serve twin cities and patients from KP, Kashmir, and the Gilgit-Baltistan region. The complex shall have modern labs, nursing schools, and the ability to handle complicated medical conditions. The premier thanked the Aga Khan Foundation for providing free consultancy services for this center. At the same time, Prince Karim Aga Khan allocated 600 kanals of land plus 200 kanals of commercial center whose income would go into the hospital trust.
A Tribute to Former Leadership
Prime Minister Abdullah appreciated former PM Nawaz Sharif’s vision of providing free medical treatment to common Pakistanis through projects like these, saying they were his inspirations. He also reminded them about their rights to education and healthcare.
Criticism over Political Interference with the Health Sector
He condemned acts where somebody tried destroying PKLI due to politics, thus referring to it back as a sad incident that happened within our country. This statement should always respect what we achieve in improving education and healthcare, especially during my tenure. Speaking from experience, when nobody believed I could end load shedding within six months after making that promise during shortage times, such as under Nawaz Sharif’s government, electricity was supplied continuously throughout Pakistan again because there were no more blackouts.
Future Plans together with Assurance
Shahbaz requested that everyone pray for the timely completion of JMC, as agreed upon, which is only one year. He also added that only deserving patients will receive 100% free treatment in this facility. At the same time, those who can afford it should pay for themselves. It will also have a medical school attached to it and act as a central point for coordination between provinces’ ministries and air ambulances in case of emergencies.
IT Park and Project Completion
In addition to building these two structures simultaneously, he directed the completion of an IT park by the end of the year. He ensured that they made all necessary funds available and worked throughout the day and night until they achieved the completion date.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif statements show his government’s commitment to bettering the country’s healthcare system and education. Jinnah Medical Complex represents a significant step forward in providing accessible, state-of-the-art medical care to all citizens without exception. This reflects the more comprehensive vision for national development. Stability through addressing historical injustices while speeding up construction works. On critical infrastructure projects that will enhance growth opportunities across Pakistan.
