Saudi Arabia, Turkey Strengthen Defence Cooperation

 

Prince Khalid bin Salman, the Defense Minister of Saudi Arabia. Met Professor Haluk Görgün, Turkey’s Minister of Defense Industries, and other heads from different vital institutions. They signed several MoUs involving several companies.

During his official visit to Turkey. Prince Khalid made it a point to visit Ankara’Ankara’sace Industries Company. And IstanbuIstanbul’se Industries Company. Where they briefed him on their operations and capabilities.

The meetings, alongside the signing of the MoUs, indicate an enhancement in defence cooperation between Turkey and Saudi Arabia. Such agreements should enhance cooperative research among various defence technology manufacturing and development sectors.

This visit emphasizes the strategic nature of building relationships Saudi Arabia recognizes concerning Turkey, a significant player within the defence industry fold. By establishing them, Saudi Arabia can develop its defensive capacity through access to advanced technologies and expertise from Turkish firms.

About eight different areas are covered by the MoUs. Ranging from joint ventures in defence manufacturing to collaboration on cutting-edge defence technologies. It also reflects how Saudi Arabia aims to diversify its arms suppliers while reducing over-reliance on traditional ones.

Prince Khalid’s position with top Turkish defence officials and industrialists indicates a commitment to improving defence security ties across various interests.
