It appears that Samsung will introduce its Galaxy S25, which will also have a Galaxy S25+ starting next January. With the launch date approaching, these devices are moving in for various approvals in different countries. A few weeks ago, the 3C authority of China issued one more certification related to an area worth mentioning – charging rates.
No New Changes on Charging Speed Foreseen Samsung Galaxy S25Â
On the other hand, the 3C certification confirmed that both the Galaxy S25 and S25+ would have the same maximum charging speeds as their ancestors, that is, S24 and S24+. This indicates that the maximum power charging for the Galaxy S25 will happen at 25 W, while for the S25+, it will be at 45W. All the fast-charging is through USB-C, which is the normal industry practice. Wireless charging, however, has no change in charging speed since the 3C certification does not indicate that charging option.
The template Consolidation Samsung Galaxy S25Â
The absence of improvement in charging speed is not the only aspect of the next Samsung flagship device series that looks conservative. Therefore, the overall structure and features of the Galaxy S25 and S25+ are likely to be quite similar to S24 models. The early leaks and images both indicate that the appearance of the two devices will be almost the same as that of the Galaxy S24 and S24+, hence very little change in physical appearance.
Attention Should Be Paid To Improvements Rather Than Innovations
Since there are no significant advances in either charging or the form factor, it appears that the Galaxy S25 series is not so much about breakthroughs as it is about improvements. It seems that Samsung is more focused on bringing the current features to perfection rather than introducing new features. This will disappoint fans of most flagship smartphone users since there will not be a more revolutionary upgrade. Others, however, will find it satisfying to see the changes that have been incremental. Focusing more on advancement than revolutions, in this case, has its benefits as well.
Instead, both the Galaxy S25 and S25+ will most probably be an upgrade of the current features increment-deepening, not revolutionary. In terms of charging speed and design, which are the same as those of the last generation, we believe that Samsung has other improvements that could result in higher quality. To see the vast improvements that have been made in the Galaxy S25 series, fans will have to wait until the official launch.
