Mumbai: Bollywood director Lawrence D’Souza has recently entertained one interesting insider detail about Salman Khan’s. D’Souza noted that Salman Khan, popularly known as the Dabangg star, was cast in the megahit film Saajan for only INRs. 5000. This is quite baffling, however, considering that Khan is now one of the most highly paid actors within the Bollywood circuit. However, Salman Khan’s has had very good successive blockbusters with Major Sahab. And so the question of his fees is pretty high. Lawrence D’Souza generally observed that it was not the end of the meeting, for by the second time they met. Salman’s fee had already attained a claim of INR 500000. This could not, however, be bettered. On their third meeting, however, Salaman Khan’s single film fee leaped to an incredible INR 1.1 million.
D’Souza added, ‘It was phenomenal how suddenly Salman’s fee rose. His fee increased from INR 5000 to INR One million one hundred thousand within no time. Indicative of his stardom stagnation.’

The director also revealed the final fees of the leading actors in Saajan. They were following the considerable increase in costs. Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit went home tax-free.
