Punjab Rain Forecast: Heavy Showers & Alerts Until July 25

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) announced that the present rainy spell will continue in Punjab, including Lahore, until July 25.  Punjab Rain Forecast While giving this forecast, they highlighted that these monsoon rains persist and may bring relief and challenges for the region.

The PDMA spokesperson has confirmed that monsoons will impact the entire Punjab, including Lahore, until July 25. Many areas of the province will likely receive showers during this protracted rainfall, providing some respite from the scorching heat and high humidity prevalent in summer.

Between July 23 and 24, thunderstorms could combine with heavy downpours in south Punjab, with severe weather conditions such as strong gusty winds, etcetera; therefore, damage could be caused, especially to infrastructure like electric poles or solar panels.

DG PDMA Irfan Ali Kathia stressed preparedness against such weather events, stating that rain will help ease intense hotness. However, cities’ management management departments should stay vigilant, considering storms can cause harm. So he said, “It is important for “city administrations to take proactive steps now so they can deal effectively with any untoward situation arising out of this storm, which might affect power supply lines by damaging electric poles or solar plates.”
