Lahore, Islamabad (from the Political Reporter, Special News Reporter): The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Core Committee’s declaration has been released, which stated that three important resolutions were unanimously approved in the Core Committee meeting.
One of the resolutions includes not accepting Secretary General Umar Ayub Khan’s resignation from the post of Secretary General. The resolution recognizes Umar Ayub Khan’s commendable services to the party during tough and trying times and pleads with him to take back his resignation as a member of PTI. His services as the party’s secretary general are essential to ensuring continuity in party policies in this acute situation. Therefore, the Core Committee underlines Chairman Imran Khan’s decision not to accept Umar Ayub Khan’s resignation and respects his critical role in maintaining stability within the party.
The Core Committee of PTI strongly censures those individuals who have deserted the party at such a crucial time. In no way can those individuals who leave the party during hard times be described as morally right or informed enough to critique it from the outside. Thus, their words are immaterial to the party since they cannot influence anything. No one will be acceptable to the party anymore if they part ways with it when in trouble. The decision on those who genuinely repented will rest with the founding Chairman. The Party also confirms that strict discipline shall always prevail in its ranks. And any future violations of Party discipline will be dealt with immediately and seriously. Consequently, such culprits would face various disciplinary actions, including suspension of primary membership, while others should seek case resolution within seven days.
Moreover, this PTI core committee underscores the importance of unity among members, especially when times are bad. It also values its dedicated, loyal members, whose support for principles and objectives continues today despite present political developments. This requires unwavering commitment and resilience from all members until they overcome challenges and fulfill the party’s vision.
