PM Honors Corporal Haroon William

 

PM Shahbaz Sharif noted that their history is full of enormous sacrifices. He made the remarks during Corporal Haroon William’s final rites when Corporal William gave his life for the country.

Solemn Tribute at Saint Paul’s Church, Rawalpindi PM 

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Corporal Haroon William’s last rites, affiliated with Islamabad, were performed in Saint Paul’s Church, Rawalpindi, attended by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Army Chief General Asim Munir, and federal ministers.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif acknowledged the Christian community’s contributions and sacrifices in national defense. At the same time, Army Chief General Asim Munir paid tribute to Corporal Haroon William, Anosh Raffan, and their companions for their sacrifices.

Biography of Corporal Haroon William PM 

According to the ISPR, 29-year-old Corporal Haroon William was affiliated with Islamabad. Federal Ministers of Defense, Interior, and Information also participated in the final rites.

Prime Minister’s Commendation

While speaking at Saint Paul’s Church in Rawalpindi, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif said that Corporal Haroon William gave his life for the country after this unfortunate event. He praised Pakistan Army soldiers, officers, government officials, and the nation for their sacrifices.

The premier stressed that Pakistani armed forces are always on high alert to protect national security. He pointed out that no other contemporary martyr has sacrificed more than him – setting an example for others.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif reviewed Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s position on August 11, wherein he underlined constitutionalism and the option to approach freedoms under the watchful eye of the law, which each resident ought to appreciate without separation.

He highlighted that along with Sikhs and Hindus, Christians had played a significant role in serving Pakistan through education and public service, among others.

Learning from National Tragedies

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed that, as a nation, we must respond to such heart-wrenching incidents from our past with unity and determination to serve the country.

Tribute to Armed Forces

He further saluted the officers and soldiers of the Pakistani Armed Forces, who sacrificed their lives for Pakistan, saving millions of children from becoming orphans.
