The first meeting of the committee formed under Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar was held to discuss issues faced by Exploration & Production (E&P) companies in Pakistan’s petroleum sector. They proposed establishing a special one-window facility at both the federal and provincial levels to streamline operations, especially in challenging terrains, while ensuring effective safety measures and creating a supportive environment for E&P activities.

The Premier directed an immediate steering committee meeting on the conversion of agriculture tube wells in Balochistan to solar power. The initiative is expected to reduce dependence on conventional sources, promote sustainability, and provide a cheaper, more reliable energy supply for farming activities in the region.
