National Assembly session

The National Assembly session, chaired by Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, saw opposition members surround the Speaker’s dais, with JUI members also participating. The leaders also chanted slogans demanding peace.

Despite the commotion, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif continued the speech, stating that the increasing attacks on opposition in Pakistan are a source of embarrassment for the nation and should be unanimously condemned.

Due to the opposition’s uproar

Due to the opposition’s uproar, Khawaja Asif paused his speech. Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah urged him to continue, stating, Khawaja Sahib, please continue your speech. Your microphone is on.

The opposition wants to engage in politics of abuse and violence.

Khawaja Asif remarked

Khawaja Asif remarked, “This is blackmailing. They are abusing us. The issue of yesterday’s abuse hasn’t been resolved, and they are hurling more abuses. The opposition wants to engage in politics of abuse and violence. No religious minority in Pakistan is safe; even the small sects within Islam are not safe. Everyone should be ashamed of this, but they have no shame.”

During Khawaja Asif’s speech, the opposition chanted thief, thief, and Form 47.

Later, the Defense Minister stated, We want to bring a solution to ensure the safety of the opposition. This country belongs to everyone. When this topic is discussed in the house, the opposition stifles it, protecting their interests.

He added I would respond to their issues in this house, but they are not letting me speak. The killing of the opposition must stop. Our religion does not permit this. People are accusing others of blasphemy over personal disputes and killing them. Everyone should unite on this issue.”

Khawaja Asif mentioned that after the Army Public School tragedy, an apex committee was formed with PTI’s inclusion, which allowed Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad. “We are reviving it, taking it to the cabinet, and bringing it to the house. We will not do anything that can be targeted.

The opposition, by protesting, is standing with terrorists and against martyrs.

He explained that PTIs can voice their objections when the issue is brought to the house, but they are showing their political clout now. “The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was present in yesterday’s meeting, where everything was discussed. The opposition, by protesting, is standing with terrorists and against martyrs.

Federal minister noted

The federal minister noted, “They still stand by May 9. Saying the army and martyrs belong to the country is deceitful. They are the same people from May 9, shifting stances for their interests, pleading, and abusing.

Khawaja Asif concluded, They only stand by their politics, not the country or the constitution. They reveal their true face. Their leader inside also changed stances, sometimes granting a lifetime extension to General Bajwa and sometimes abusing him. Their party members asked us for tickets, and when we refused, they were here protesting.
