Nawaz Sharif’s Sole Decision Not Prime Minister

Nawaz Sharif’s didn’t need to be prime minister by himself, stated Senator Irfan Siddiqui, a senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief. While the election marketing campaign was underway in Pakistan, there were no signs of the former Prime Minister’s enthusiasm dying down, even when the “Go Nawaz Go” chants echoed throughout various places. He believed that instead of resorting to emotional slogans, it was preferable to communicate through more substantive statements. Many echoed this sentiment widely, considering the slogan too simplistic and noting that it did not resonate well with the establishment, Shahbaz Sharif, or others aligned with Nawaz Sharif.

During a Geo News interview, Senator Irfan Siddiqui said that Nawaz Sharif’s is still a force to be reckoned with despite being physically absent. This was because after he came back home, the electoral campaign entered an active phase. Shahbaz Sharif, Nawaz’s brother, currently serves as Prime Minister, while his daughter holds the Punjab province’s Chief Minister office. Punjab province is Pakistan’s largest province.

Therefore, it is up to the opposition to voice their discontent with something or show it through actions. It is wrong to think that Nawaz Sharif has nothing to do with what happens around him. He also remains actively involved and participates in decision-making processes. After embarking on a pilgrimage to Umrah, the former premier started engaging more with the public and recently held meetings with some parliamentarians.

So, you know, nobody forced Nawaz Sharif not to run for PM again; this was entirely his personal choice. He only decided after seeing how things turned out during the elections. I could tell he wanted Shahbaz Sharif as PM but didn’t want it openly then. Unlike before, when people used to chant “Go Nawaz G” and” passionate” ly throughout campaigns, Mr.Sherif seemed less excited about contesting for any seat. Not everybody liked what he tried doing – speaking substance instead of catchy slogans!

No insurmountable barriers obstructed Nawaz Sharif’s path, contrary to perceived impediments from the establishment or others. During Musharraf’s era, Shaukat Aziz became Prime Minister instead of Shahbaz Sharif. However, Shahbaz Sharif did not betray his brother despite being offered the position. The prime ministership of Raheel Sharif & Shahbaz Sharif remains substantial within Pakistani politics despite his physical absence. His strategic decisions continue to shape the direction of his party and resonate within the political landscape. The narrative surrounding his leadership choices and the dynamics within his party underscore a nuanced understanding of Pakistani politics. As discussions about the future unfold, Nawaz Sharif’sr strategic presence remains a pivotal factor in the country’s discourse.
