The National Cricketers’ pre-season fielding and fitness camp starts at the Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre in Karachi. It will last two weeks, and 24 players will participate until July 7.
Red Ball and Pre-Departure Camps Transition
After completing the red ball camp, 15 players will join the pre-departure camp for Pakistan Shaheens. This camp will continue from July 8 July 8before their departure to Australia on July 14 July 14will play against Bangladesh A in two four-day matches and as many one-day matches besides featuring in TopT20 series which also involves nine teams.
Key Players in the Camp
Amongst the 24 players who have been invited to the camp are eight Test cricketers: Abdullah Shafiq (17 Tests), Imamul Haq (24 Tests), Khurram Shahzad (one Test), Mohammad Wasim Jr (two Tests), Sarfaraz Ahmed (54 Tests), Saud Shakeel (10 Tests), Umar Amin (four Tests) and Zahid Mahmood (two Tests).
ICC World Test Championship Preparation
Pakistan is preparing for nine test matches during the 2024-25 ICC World Test Championship season: two test matches against Bangladesh in August and three test matches against England in October this year. It will also play two tests on South Africa’s tour from December to January and host two home tests against the West Indies in January 2025.

Opportunities for Young Cricketers
