A knife attack at a pageant in Solingen, western Germany, Multiple Deaths remaining night time ended in more than one death and accident. The incident passed off on the “Festival of Diversity,” marking the town’s 650th anniversary.

The assault occurred around 9:30 p.m. local time on Friday in Fronhof, a central square in Solingen. Düsseldorf police have said that three people were Multiple Deaths and four more injured by a single attacker wielding a knife. On-the-spot witnesses contacted law enforcement immediately; however, the perpetrator had already disappeared when they arrived.
Anja Kynast, a police spokeswoman, stated that the offender was still accessible at large. At the same time, authorities had little information about them, yet it seemed likely one person did all the stabbings, but the motive behind this act remained unknown.

National Reaction And Security Concerns
This incident raises new questions regarding public safety within Germany itself. Recently, Nancy Faeser (Interior Minister) called for stricter knife control laws, seeking to significantly reduce the length allowed to carry a knife publicly from the current maximum limit of 12 cm to just 6cm. This means only half-size blades will be legal now. This suggestion may gain more attention after the Solingen tragedy.
