Technology experts claim that one can commit a big fraud by opening suspicious links sent through mobile messages as people are now using mobile banking or easy payment apps hence the need to be extra careful.

Banking Apps are Generally Safe, but Hackers Find Ways to Exploit Them

Banking and other financial apps are normally safe; however, attackers keep finding new avenues for manipulating them. For example, they may not require a password to access your account, which is a new type of scam.

A New Type of Fraud: Be Wary of Suspicious Messages

These days, there have been reports about a different kind of fraud where someone sends you a message via Pakistan Post on your cell phone stating that there is a parcel in your name, but due to the wrong address, it cannot be delivered. Then, they ask you to open the link and provide the correct details. Once this link is opened, two or three questions will be asked, such as street number, favorite animal or car, etc. Hackers change email passwords with these answers and then use that same email account to change bank passwords & withdraw money.
