Maryam Nawaz set daily records during Eid.

 

On Eid-ul-Adha, Lahore’s streets underwent nonstop cleaning. The roads were washed using water mixed with rosewater. This massive cleanup operation showcased the capacity of Punjab’s government machinery to collect large amounts of waste in one sweep. Maryam Nawaz, the Chief Minister of Punjab, praised these achievements and drew attention to her party’s record in public service during festive seasons.

 Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz stated that public services set a new record each day during the three days of Eid. For 72 hours straight, they cleaned roads, streets, and walkways nonstop using water infused with rose water. The swift removal of waste demonstrated that the government machinery in Punjab is well-equipped and committed to accomplishing tasks efficiently. Having a clean province isn’t only something they say; it has become their standard because everyone works together alongside governments.

The Chief Minister stated that his administration has made excellent cleaning arrangements for this occasion. He praised all those involved, including Minister of Local Government Zeehan Rafeeq, Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government, Chief Officers/District Officers who participated in the campaign, Waste Management Companies, District Administration Office Bearers, and staff of the Lahore Waste Management Company, for their efforts in maintaining cleanliness throughout the city.

Maryam Nawaz also stated that citizens and institutions collectively fulfilled their responsibilities during Eid, making impossible things possible. This success reflects people’s sentiments towards Authorities, Cooperation, etc. She urged everyone to continue working with the same spirit and cooperation to make a clean Punjab a permanent standard.

The Chief Minister thanked the citizens and the media for their cooperation, which was crucial in successful cleanup efforts. She noted that the public’s appreciation is the real reward for the government, elected representatives, institutions, officers, and staff. The teamwork demonstrated during Eid set a golden and proud example of public service and the “Yes, we can” spirit.

We established a high standard of cleanliness during Eid, which we must maintain going forward. The dedication and hard work of the solid waste workers during the three days of Eid were unprecedented, setting a new benchmark for future efforts. The government considers keeping Lahore clean an integral part of its manifesto and will uphold this commitment at all costs. The “Operation Cleanup,” which lasted three days during Eid, achieved significant success and will conclude today.

Maryam Nawaz concluded her statement by reinforcing the government’s commitment to bringing a comprehensive solid waste management system to Punjab. She encouraged everyone to fulfill their responsibilities to make a clean Punjab a reality.
