Maryam Nawaz proved how to execute her orders: Azma Bukhari

Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari praised Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for effectively enforcing her directives.

During a press conference at the D.G.P.R. office, accompanied by Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafiq, Azma Bukhari highlighted the accomplishments of the Punjab government under Maryam Nawaz’s leadership.

Efficient Cleanliness Arrangements on Eid-ul-Adha

Minister Azma Bukhari commended Minister Zeeshan Rafiq for ensuring excellent cleanliness arrangements during Eid-ul-Adha. She emphasized that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz believes in practical actions rather than just making announcements. “The Punjab government cracked down on overcharging by passenger vehicles and took concrete steps to enforce fair pricing,” she noted.

Refunds and Legal Actions Azma Bukhari

Bukhari detailed the government’s actions against those who violated the fare regulations. “In just three days, the Punjab government refunded 1.467 million rupees to passengers. A total of 1,448 vehicles were fined, and cases were registered against nine individuals for not complying with government orders,” she explained.

Electricity and Political Stability Azma Bukhari

Bukhari was firm in addressing the issue of electricity usage and payments: “When you use electricity, you have to pay for it. These people aim to repeat the 2014 sit-in, urging people to burn their bills. The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cannot provide relief to the public, hence the threats,” she remarked.

Political Criticism Azma Bukhari

Bukhari commented on the political landscape: “It is not our responsibility to clean up political messes. All institutions should ensure they do not take on this burden themselves. Under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s government, nothing is temporary.”

Local Government Efforts Azma Bukhari

Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafiq spoke about the successful cleanliness operations during Eid. “We implemented excellent cleanliness measures during Eid. Workers toiled day and night in the heat, and thanks to the hard work of our sanitary workers, we achieved success,” he said.

Regulated Livestock Markets Azma Bukhari

Rafiq mentioned that, for the first time, illegal goat markets were not allowed in Punjab. “All facilities, including cleanliness, were provided in the official goat markets. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, free goat markets were established across the province,” he stated.

Sanitary Workers’ Efforts Azma Bukhari

Rafiq highlighted the efforts of the sanitary workers during the Eid days. “Fifty-five thousand sanitary workers worked tirelessly in the extreme heat for three days. They collected 188,000 tons of animal waste, and 1.8 million livestock were sold in Punjab,” he reported.

Complaint Resolution

Rafiq also mentioned resolving public complaints. “During the Eid days, we addressed 38,000 complaints, showing that under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, we turned the impossible into possible,” he declared.

Cleanliness Initiatives

He added, “Roads were washed with chlorine and rosewater. We are all workers of our leader Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. The benefits of Nawaz Sharif’s development and prosperity initiatives are reaching the public,” he concluded.
