Eligible persons owning plots will get interest-free loans up to Rs1.5 million under the ‘Apni Chhat Apna Ghar.Scheme to construct houses without additional financial burden. The program allows loans for construction. Residential buildings on plot sizes ranging from 1 marla (in urban areas) up to 5 marlas . And one marla (in rural areas) up to 10 marlas. These loans are designed to be borrower-friendly with a manageable seven-year repayment period. They come with no hidden charges, service fees, or interest, making them attractive to people struggling with housing issues.
Simplified Process
To ensure maximum accessibility, the government of Punjab has simplified the process of availing of this scheme. A portal and helpline have been launched to facilitate applicants’ applications through the right channel. People unfamiliar with the online system can also seek guidance by dialling the helpline number 080009100. Which is now operational so that no one remains unaffected due to a lack of technological know-how.
