The Supreme Court’s decision over which the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz has criticized and called it a recipe for instability. She accused the judges of rehashing the constitution to favor specific individuals giving them more than what was originally asked for. However, she assured that the government would complete five years and requested the judges to let the country work smoothly. Launch Of Model Markets And Free Home Delivery Service
During her public address at the inauguration ceremony of the renovated model bazaar in the Township area. Maryam Nawaz announced that model markets were being established in major cities and 36 model bazaars across different provinces. Additionally, she initiated a dedicated Free Home Delivery Project app as well as a solarization initiative. She applauded Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s efforts at making tough decisions to salvage an economy that had been on the decline under the previous govt.
Solar Project and Electricity Relief
Maryam Nawaz also highlighted how they have embarked on their largest solar project ever as a response to escalating electricity bills. People using less than 200 units per month will be free of charge whereas those consuming between 200-500 units will receive easy installment options for getting solar systems installed at their homes. This initiative is expected to save people from expensive electricity bills once and forever with subsequent drops in inflation.
Economic Improvement and Stock Market Growth
She noted that the stock market index is currently at its highest point – 82,000 points. Which indicates economic development since PML-N came into power. While she admitted that many people are unhappy with rising taxes. She believed that progress usually causes some discomfort in any society.
Critique of Supreme Court’s Decision
Maryam Nawaz persisted with her criticism of the Supreme Court since it created instability by rewriting its constitution again afresh. She further also proposed joining PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf) although it is not represented in parliament today. She also pointed out that the Supreme Court’s encouragement of floor crossing meant decisions should be according to the constitution and law, not personal conscience.
Pledges for Development and Stability
Maryam Nawaz pledged that she would clamp down on any such efforts to obstruct progress and create instability. She appealed to the people to remain watchful, identify their friends and foes as well as dismiss conspiracies that have been constantly haunting the nation for 76 years. So long as she remains in power, Maryam promised that new patterns of development will continue being set.
Inspection of Model Bazaars
During her visit to the renovated model bazaar, Maryam Nawaz visited various stalls. Inspected the quality and prices of food items, and also went through displayed rate lists.
