Lahore: More Free wifi Services To Be Provided
In other news, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directed extending free Wi-Fi services to 250 more locations in Lahore. A special meeting chaired by her made important decisions regarding the Free Wi-Fi Project. Accordingly, the “CM Maryam Nawaz Free wifi” service was launched earlier this year in Kasur and Lahore. Has now been brought to Nankana Sahib on CM’s orders. The first phase includes activating free wifi at five points: Masjid Chowk Area. Railway Station Area near Tehsil Mor Chowk and Kacheri Phatak area adjacent to Railways Colony.

During the briefing, it was revealed that around twenty-five thousand citizens have already used Cof M Maryam NNawaz’s Free Wi-Fi service in Nankana Sahib using 250GB of data during the last four weeks. According to the details shared, there are currently ten locations with Wi-Fi available, and more spots will be equipped soon.
Success In Lahore – Future Plan
While expressing pleasure over its success—over 5 million people have accessed the Internet without paying any cost so far across different parts of the city—she also announced a Safe City WiFi activation pacifier in Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Gujranwala later this month, followed by the establishment of Safe City Authorities in 18 cities all over Punjab until the end of this year.

Maryam Nawaz said that women and students will be major beneficiaries of CM Nawaz’s free service. Especially in emergencies where they may need quick access to the Internet and well-being.
