Maryam Nafees Men Made Pakistan Unsafe for Women

Karachi: It is logical that well-known actress Maryam Nafees is worried about the increase in the threat that ‘the women in Pakistan are exposed to’ and explains it with the kind of atmosphere that men have created and makes it uncomfortable for women to feel safe. In an open podcast-style interaction, Nafees brought to the fore several burning issues of the country, including, but not limited to, issues of elite corruption, political challenges, and social ones.

The Corruption Crisis

In the podcast, Maryam Nafees was annoyed at the state of the Pakistani nation, criticizing the larger section as ‘corrupt, lazy, and unreliable.’ Nafees was more critical of the endemic corruption that has spread within most sectors, including public service, which she said was mostly absent merit. These observers have pointed out that tortuous ‘why the corruption is high’ lies beneath the operations of the state. Even in more efficient systems than those in developing countries, institutions are expected to work, and those wishing for social change think it is important to unseat them.

Political Instability and Societal Issues

Nafees did not stop her backlash with the only vice of corruption. She noted, however, that Political instability in Pakistan is just one of the country’s many serious problems. The actress noted the kidnapping of women in large numbers, stalking and threats, stalking, violent sexual assaults, and saying there is also murder are some of the glaring things that make it unsafe for the country. She maintained that These things are even more OCD-type social pangs that deserve that is correct.

Health and Education Issues

Nafees’s critique captures the most notable limitation, the insufficient health service provision and the problems in providing a quality education for children. She stressed that Such basic facilities are frequently absent or out of reach to many, making life even more difficult for ordinary people. One of those is the underwhelming healthcare system and the inability to guarantee that children receive a sound education. These are important areas that need urgent intervention.

General unhappiness with the Karachi System of governance

Maryam Nafees, however, turned her concerns to the city of Karachi specifically and indicated that she was not happy with the condition of the city as it is. According to her, once Karachi is described as the second most dangerous city in the world, there are security worries. At the same time, she concurred that there is general decency among the people of Karachi. Nafees lamented the absence of ownership and responsibility amongst the people and governments. It is her conviction that this is how people’s misconceptions about the city keep on being a nightmare.

A More Comprehensive Outlook Admission of Women’s Safety

In her remarks, Nafees argued the importance of safety for women in Pakistan to different degrees. Nafees reflects on this unfortunate circumstance. The particular concern is how men have dominated the public sphere and created a not-so-safe environment for women. For her, this situation illustrates a bigger picture in which women’s safety and well-being are not a priority. Her comments explicitly raise an important issue of gender safety across the country. Greater focus and efforts to deal with the primary causes of this safety concern are also an issue.

Maryam Nafees’ remarks are a second ring that exposes some of the ills of a country like Pakistan. Her comments call for changes in how things are done, especially in governance, service delivery, and security. The issues she raises are a clarion call not only to the politicians. But to the people of Pakistan to strive for a safer and fairer Pakistan.
