Malik Muhammad Ahmed Challenge American Election Resolution

Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan has criticized the recent American resolution concerning the elections, asserting that it is inconsistent with the facts. He suggested that the U.S. might have needed access to complete and accurate information when forming their resolution.

While speaking to the media at the Punjab Assembly, Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan clarified. The resolution inaccurately claimed internet and mobile services were shut down during the elections. He explained that the responsible security agencies had taken necessary measures to maintain law and order during such a significant event. According to Khan, these agencies ensured smooth elections, and the information about the alleged shutdowns was misleading.

Khan further disclosed that they have submitted twenty-five to twenty-six election petitions to the tribunal for review. He emphasized that if the U.S. House of Representatives were aware of this information, they might have reconsidered the content of their resolution. The Speaker expressed his notion that the decision was based on a misrepresented portrayal of the state of affairs, leading to a formula of evaluations that no longer aligned with the ground realities.

He also pointed out the influence of lobbying in the United States, noting that various lobbies operate to shape opinions and policies. Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan highlighted that such lobbying efforts were active even during Khan’s government. He remarked on the dual approach of chanting the “absolutely not” mantra while simultaneously engaging in lobbying activities. According to him, this duality reflects the complexities and contradictions within the political landscape.

Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan urged a more accurate representation of facts in international discourse, particularly concerning the electoral process in Pakistan. He called for a better understanding and verifying information before forming resolutions or opinions that impact bilateral relations and the perception of Pakistan’s democratic processes.
