Having previously lost to Macron in the 2017 and 2022 presidential elections, Le Pen aims buoyed by her party’s recent electoral triumphs.

Macron’s Decision and Political Landscape

The president’s move to hold snap elections is a symptom of his government’s political chaos and problems. The National Rally’s success in France and right-wing parties’ victories across Europe show that Macron needs to understand and deal with a new political situation.
