It is observed today as Kashmir Black Day to protest against India’s acts of annexing the occupied territory. The of August 5, 2019, will go down in history as a dark day. Which marked five years since the abrogation of special status about Kashmir. People are marking this day as Kashmir Black Day on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC) and worldwide.

Indian Move on August 5 Governor

Presidential Statement on Kashmir Black Day
President Asif Ali Zardari has issued a message for observance of “Kashmir Black Day,” commemorating the completion of five years since India took unilateral illegal actions.” They pointed out that India’s continuous campaign to alter the demographic composition and political landscape of OJ&K violates UNSC resolutions and international laws, and cannot deter the brave struggle waged by its people.
Prime Minister’s Appeal to the International Community
In his message on “kashmir black day”, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif criticized India’s unlawful actions in Indian-held Jammu and Kashmir (IHK) on August 5, 2019. He has called upon the international community to pressure India to cease severe human rights abuses. Illegal actions must be reversed, oppressive laws abolished, and India must implement UN Security Council resolutions.
