Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani is the oldest judge at the Islamabad High Court, this week he stressed the need to work within the constitution and laws of Pakistan for it to survive. He said this during a flag-hoisting ceremony held at the IHC to celebrate Independence Day. The struggle to maintain the ideological and territorial boundaries of Pakistan continues 78 years after its creation; however, according to him, many achievements have been made by our country in different fields during this period.
Homage To Martyrs
While paying tribute to martyrs who sacrificed their lives on duty towards protecting the sovereignty of the state, Justice Kayani maintained that today’s generation might not fully understand what their forefathers went through because they didn’t witness any such event themselves. However, we should never forget those people who gave up everything for us so that we could live freely as citizens of our nation.
Call For Planting Trees For Future Generations
After giving his speech, Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb spoke to the audience about planting trees. He said that planting trees is a way to show our commitment to future generations. Additionally, he noted that greenery helps protect the environment and is a meaningful tribute to those who came before us.
Reflections On the Nation’s Progresses And Challenges
In his speech, Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb questioned whether or not present-day people have lived up to expectations given by those freedom fighters who laid down their lives fighting against British colonial rule in India during World War II. He then emphasized again how important democracy is for peace and prosperity among nations like ours where people are diverse culturally but need each other economically; hence, there is the need for frequent elections to serve as the foundation upon which all other things can thrive accordingly.
