Janet Jackson’s First Song and Her Pioneering Music Career

 

In 1975, Janet Jackson talked about the first song she wrote when she was nine. After a long and tedious afternoon, Janet went to the recording studio in Encino, California. Because her brothers were still recovering from their world tour. She named the song “Fantasy,” played all the instruments, and sang the vocals herself. The next day, she found her father, Joe Jackson, listening to it with her brothers, Michael and Randy. She wanted to study business law at first. But her dad made her make music because he said that was what my brothers did. So it would be hard [to argue] against that,” according to recollection.

A Pioneer of Her Time, Janet

Albums such as Control and Janet have contributed significantly to this achievement. In 1990, she became the first woman nominated for Best Producer at The Grammy Awards, which she says was “mind-blowing.” Currently on her Together Again tour.
