On the other hand, Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has stated that Pakistan should establish peaceful relations with India based on equality.
But he made it loud and clear that his country will not allow any one-sided dominance from India. Accusing India of indulging in extra-judicial killings in Pakistan, Mr Dar expressed the willingness of his government to discuss all long-standing issues, including Kashmir, with New Delhi.
Importance of CPEC and Regional Prosperity Ishaq DarÂ
Speaking at the 51st anniversary celebration of ISSI (Institute of Strategic Studies), the Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He said that this could be a game changer for regional prosperity and increased economic activity between Pakistan and China. Mr Dar assured that all possible security measures would be taken to protect Chinese nationals working in different parts of Pakistan.
Prioritizing Regional and International Relations Ishaq DarÂ
Mr Das highlighted Iran, Gulf countries, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and other Central Asian states as priority areas in relationship building from the Pakistani perspective, adding that the UK, Russia, and EU are also important partners. However, we should always strive to create good ties between these two regions.

The minister emphasized strengthening relations with strategic partners to make them more economically vibrant through collaboration, enhancing strengths while complementing weaknesses. He further highlighted the importance of treating neighboring countries and major world powers well for ensuring stability within borders.
