iPhone 16 Pro Teardown: Insights on Design & Features

Last week’s launch of the iPhone 16 Pro, which is part of Apple’s newly released iPhone 16 lineup, was today. The world has welcomed it on sale. Today, the first complete teardown video of the iPhone 16 Pro has been published. Which gives a comprehensive review of the internal parts of the device.

Torx 1x, Opening Tool, Locate the Hook Section in the Battery The only standard method to access the internal parts of the iPhone  is to lift off the back cover, like in many recent smartphones. The iPhone 16 Pro is now manufactured with a less complicated. And, thus, more compact motherboard than the preceding iPhone 15 Pro. Benefits from this new battery structure are expected, but repairs may be more difficult because of the tighter boundaries of the construction.

Usual Camera Body of Increasing Size iPhone 16 Pro 

The iPhone features a comparatively larger camera body as compared to the iPhone 15 Pro because a 12 MP periscope telephoto camera has been introduced. This feature improves video zooming, which is the specialty of a new phone compared to the older one.

Enhanced Battery Capacity and Thermal Management iPhone 16 Pro 

One of the remarkable improvements is the massive battery. The iPhone 16 Pro embeds a 3582 mAh battery, representing an increase of 9.4% over the capacity of 3274 mAh of the iPhone 15 Pro. The battery comes with a steel casing that is beneficial in heat management, a feature that is new on this device as compared to the iPhone 15 Pro.

Furthermore, Apple claimed that the phone’s inner skeleton structure, which contains aluminum and graphite, also improves the thermal performance by fivefold.

Improvements in Repairability

Even though the design has become more compact, some of the features of the iPhone 16 Pro have been purposely designed to enhance the repairability of the device. The mounting of the charging port flex cable onto the microphone has been changed, which facilitates repairs around this area. However, not every aspect has been designed in line with this trend, for example. The Camera Control button is cemented with a laser. And cannot be removed which might make repairs difficult.

Summary

The internal structure of the iPhone. Which has been disassembled for analysis. Indicates that it has been modernized with respect to several characteristics. Including compact sized motherboard, efficient heat management system, growing camera system monolith. And more as regards recoverability of some parts, to name a few. Although, with these developments. It will be easier to use the device, perhaps the more compact internal structure will limit civil repair opportunities.
