Imam Dr.Salah Al-Budair thanked the people of Pakistan for their hospitality. He said that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are like two stars that cannot be separated at any cost. Federal Minister Law Azam Nazeer Tarar, Federal Minister Religious Affairs Chaudhry Salik Hussain, religious scholars, and Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki, among other Saudi officials, attended the meeting.
Dinner Hosted in Honour of Imam
Afterward, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif hosted a dinner honoring Imam Dr.Salah Budayr and his delegation at Punjab House Lahore. On his arrival in the city, Speaker of Punjab Assembly Malik Ahmed Khan and Minister of Local Government Zeeshan Rafique welcomed him at a local hotel. They presented him with a bouquet on behalf of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. In response, Dr.Salah Bayar thanked them.
Statements Regarding Visit’s Impact
While talking to the media outside the hotel. Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Ahmed Khan said, “We consider Masjid Nabawi (PBUH) as part of our faith. Therefore, we request prayers from the masses and government.” Similarly, Zeeshan Rafiq mentioned that this visit would bring additional blessings to the bilateral relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, further consolidating it.
