Vice President Kamala Harris has officially agreed to be the democratic choice for President of the United States of America. This accomplishment makes her the first black woman in history to be nominated by a major party for this position. During her speech at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago, she spoke about how important elections are. She called on citizens, saying it is now time for us as people to start “writing the next great chapter [sic] in the most extraordinary story ever told.”
A Promise of Unity
Acknowledging Biden’s noble character and ability to inspire Americans and everyone worldwide. She admitted that his presidency will undoubtedly go down positively recorded in history books. They also talked about herself by sharing personal stories of growing up with a single mother in California and then becoming a prosecutor. While highlighting the need for a future that does away with divisions and embraces all.
She did take shots against Donald Trump, though, calling him an unserious individual who puts himself first and always above everything else too. He includes the country itself in his claims, even asserting that if he were elected president, he wouldn’t take the office seriously enough to do what needs to be done. Therefore, there’s no doubt why he should consider voting this time around. According to his own words, it’s clear that we have very little faith left after repeatedly hearing such garbage from people like those currently in power.
Laying Out Her Agenda
Harris outlined her vision for America, addressing various areas such as immigration, the economy, and health care. She emphasized the need to implement specific strategies to achieve these goals as quickly as possible despite the limited resources available at any given time during her tenure as a public servant. Harris promised to work tirelessly each day, striving to realize these goals before her time in office ends. She pledged to ensure prosperity, justice, fairness, equality, liberty, fraternity, democracy, peace, love, happiness, success, security, progress, development, well-being, welfare, dignity, rights, freedoms, opportunities, potentials, capabilities, capacities, possibilities, achievements, gains, values, benefits, interests, aspirations, and dreams for the nation and its citizens.
A Call to Action
In conclusion, she directly addressed Republicans who are still undecided or planning not to vote, reminding them that every American deserves to have their voice heard. She also promised to become president for everyone, regardless of party affiliation, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, and more. However, this must be accomplished within the framework of laws, regulations, norms, values, customs, traditions, beliefs, principles, ideals, morals, ethics, rules, standards, policies, procedures, practices, and conventions. Otherwise chaos and anarchy may reign supreme always; Beside,s should always use common sense whenever dealing with issues affecting people’s lives because united we stand divided fall hence need each other more than before now after everything that happened already so far again till end time itself itself serves.
The vice-presidential acceptance speech marked the end of the DNC and served as a precursor to her presidential campaign. It was characterized by a desire for unity, fairness, and hope in America.
