Maryam Nawaz, the Chief Minister of Punjab, has directed the swift completion of the legal process to establish an Authority Enforcement Regulatory.
I proposed changes in laws and rules to establish the Authority. During the briefing, they disclosed that they will constitute each district’s District Enforcement Regulatory Board. The Punjab Enforcement Regulatory Authority will effectively work against inflation, while the Sub-Divisional Enforcement Officer will ensure the law’s implementation at the technical level. Additionally, 40 officials, including enforcement officers in each tehsil, shall monitor and regulate prices of essential commodities.
The briefing also informed that movable encroachments would be removed to widen streets and markets. At the district level, the Deputy Commissioner will head the District Enforcement Regulatory Board, while at the technical level, the enforcement officer shall be responsible for enforcing and monitoring actions. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said hoarders cannot play with public interests.
Moreover, in the World Sports Journalists Day message, she highlighted their role in healthy activities through sports.
Maryam Nawaz’s directive follows increased inflation rates coupled with the need for a specific body mandated to regulate prices. And ensure the availability of basic needs. The move seeks to develop a structured way to monitor prices to prevent hoarding that might inconvenience people from accessing markets or streets. When done away with encroachments. The government aims to beef up its capacity to deal with inflation by appointing enforcement officers and setting regulatory boards at district and tehsil levels with consumer protection at heart.
This initiative by the Chief Minister indicates that robust legal frameworks coupled with regulatory authorities should exist. If any country wants to tackle economic challenges head-on. Where welfare becomes second. Enforcement officers will participate. And the creation of regulatory boards aims to assist the government in taming prices. And preventing manipulation within markets, among other benefits.
Maryam Nawaz’s recognition of sports journalists. Involvement in enhancing healthy activities shows more expansive thinking toward better living standards for all. Therefore, it calls for ensuring that different approaches are used when promoting sports journalism. Which will encourage public involvement in healthy living.
