Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami, Hafiz Naeem your Rehman, has firmly rejected the government’s decision to launch Operation Azm-e-Istehkham, asserting that Pakistan cannot bear the burden of additional military operations.
He emphasized that the continuous operations over the past 23 years have rendered the western border insecure. The situation has deteriorated since Pervez Musharraf decided to join America’s so-called war on terror, deceiving the public with the slogan “Pakistan first.” This involvement has led to a persistent issue of terrorism that has been uncontrollable. Moreover, it has opened the gates for interference by international agencies such as RAW, Blackwater, and the CIA.
In his statement, Hafiz Naeem, your Rehman, highlighted that Pakistan cannot afford to undertake operations under foreign pressure. He stressed that individuals from Form 47 do not have the right to make decisions that affect the nation’s fate. He criticized the ethical stance of the rulers emerging from Form 47, pointing out that they did not seek approval for the operation from the assembly constituted under Form 47. Instead, the decision was solely made by the Apex Committee.
