On the 75th anniversary of the Punjab Federal Union of Journalists at Lahore Press Club, Punjab Governor Sardar Salim Haider spoke to the media. Therefore, he promised to do more to ensure those at the highest power levels hear their voices.

Governor Haider remarked, “Just like our leaders have seen dark days, so too have journalists,” comparing the struggles faced by the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) with those experienced by press members over time. Both groups have fought for rights and freedoms throughout history, which has led to their closeness. “Wherever your voice needs raising, we will be there,” he vowed on behalf of the party to the journalistic community.

They celebrated PFUJ’s 75-year journey with a cake-cutting ceremony during this event. Other activities included speeches by various speakers, such as His Excellency Sardar Salim Haider, who represented Punjab province. His participation highlighted the importance he placed on this milestone, recognizing the union members and the significant roles played by individual journalists within our society.
