Islamabad: Romaina Khurshid, the Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Climate Change, has said that the government is working seriously to empower women and give them important positions in society.
Creating Chances for Skills Improvement
Women Media Center Training Workshop: On the fifth day of a five-day training workshop held in Islamabad by the Women Media Center, Romaina Khurshid spoke before participants on the last day. She stressed that there should be occasions where capabilities are enhanced for ladies as part of commitment made by governments towards them; adding also that trainings help one overcome any difficulty met by women at various stages of life.
Bringing Climate Change into Light Through Media
Climate Change Awareness: In a discussion on climate change, she pointed out how significant it is to use different means, like media outlets, to draw people’s attention to this matter, which affects us all. Encouraging Female Journalists: Fozia Shahin, CEO of the Women Media Center, and Senior Program Assistant Arj Atiq were also present at the workshop. They highlighted the importance of promoting female participation in the media industry and providing opportunities for skill development and professional growth.

Youth Involvement: Young female journalists and media-connected students also participated in the training session. The purpose of this involvement was to empower the coming female era so that they could participate actively in media activities and fight for significant matters in life, such as climate change awareness and women’s emancipation.
