Gaza Crisis: Over 120 Dead in Israeli Airstrikes in 48 Hours

Israeli airstrikes targeting Gaza have killed over 120 people and injured hundreds in the last 48 hours alone.

2023, ongoing Zionist assaults have claimed the lives of 37,551 Palestinians and injured 85,911 others. Health authorities in Gaza reported that in the last week, Israeli airstrikes targeted two areas in Gaza City, resulting in 24 fatalities and numerous injuries. A residential area in Al-Atfa witnessed an attack that killed at least 20 people, while four lost their lives in a strike on a refugee camp in Al-Shati. Additionally, 19 individuals working at a factory in Al-Atfa remain missing.

Humanitarian Aid Obstacles Gaza

Israeli-imposed restrictions are hindering emergency agencies from delivering aid, exacerbating a humanitarian crisis with severe shortages of food and essential supplies in Gaza. The blockades have led to mounting humanitarian assistance piles awaiting distribution.

Women Arming Themselves Gaza

Following Hamas attacks on October 7, Israeli women are increasingly participating in purchasing firearms. A total of 42,000 applications for gun permits have been submitted by women, with 18,000 approvals granted. Over 15,000 Israeli women currently possess firearms, and 10,000 have undergone mandatory training.

International Reactions and Condemnation

Hamas has condemned Israel’s actions, vowing that Israel will face repercussions for its atrocities. The Israeli military conducted another round of mass killings in Shati, Al-Mawasi, and Rafah within two days, prompting international condemnation and calls for the occupying forces to halt their war crimes. Andrew Miller, an expert on Israeli-Palestinian affairs at the US State Department, resigned in protest against the ongoing crisis.

Israeli Military Operations and Regional Tensions

Israeli forces continue attempts to seize control over the entire Rafah area, launching offensives from eight different fronts, including Rafah Crossing, Salah al-Din Corridor, Tal Zarub, Passport Roundabout, Bank of Palestine, Salah al-Din Gate, and Zawal Nourain Mosque. Incursions from the Yibna and Azoz Axis and Engineer Syndicate areas into cities have also been reported.

The situation remains volatile, with ongoing military operations and humanitarian concerns intensifying in Gaza amid international calls for peace and restraint.
